Melissa Holub is a California psychologist and psychoanalyst who has presented nationally on various aspects of the adoptive landscape.   In addition to working with a diverse population of adults and transition-aged youth, Dr. Holub enjoys teaching, mentoring, consulting and supervising. She has been on the clinical faculty/staff of many Bay Area psychology programs including the Wright Institute, McAuley Institute, California Institute for Integral Studies, The Women’s Therapy Center, Access Institute, and the Boyer House Foundation.  Her practice is in Berkeley, California

Anne Brodzinsky, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist working primarily with children and families. She has specialized in the study and therapeutic care of adopted children and their birth and adoptive families. She has multiple professional publications describing research, clinical experience and models for improving policies in adoption. 





Anne Brodzinsky, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist working primarily with children and families. She has specialized in the study and therapeutic care of adopted children and their birth and adoptive families. She has multiple professional publications describing research, clinical experience and models for improving policies in adoption. Dr. Brodzinsky’s dissertation research was on the adjustment of women following the placement of a child for adoption. She has focused a large portion of her professional life on the unique needs of these women.  She has been working in the field for more than 30 years.She is also the author of three children’s books; The Mulberry Bird, Story of an Adoption, Jessica Kingsley Press; Can I Tell You about Adoption, JKP; and The Falling Down Time, One Child’s Story about Divorce, Book Baby.Dr. Brodzinsky is in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nina Anderson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in adoption and family formation.  Nina has worked in public child welfare as well as in the private sector. Nina currently has a private practice in San Francisco, California providing counseling,

 


                                                                          


Nina Anderson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in adoption and family formation.  Nina has worked in public child welfare as well as in the private sector. Nina currently has a private practice in San Francisco, California providing counseling, consultation, and education to birth/first mothers, adoptees, and adoptive parents. Nina has a deep commitment to supporting and advocating for birth mothers. She has recently expanded her practice to provide pre and post-open adoption support services, helping members of the triad to better navigate and build a healthy open adoption relationship. In addition, Nina is a registered Adoption Service Provider for the State of California, conducts stepparent adoption investigation reports, and works with several California adoption agencies assisting with home studies.

Katie Monroe, MSW has worked as an adoption social worker since 2007. Much of the work Katie has completed as a social worker has been with expectant and birth mothers. She is passionate about providing expectant parents and birth parents with ethical and attentive care as they navigate their pregnancy, potential adoption journey, and pos








Katie Monroe, MSW has worked as an adoption social worker since 2007. Much of the work Katie has completed as a social worker has been with expectant and birth mothers. She is passionate about providing expectant parents and birth parents with ethical and attentive care as they navigate their pregnancy, potential adoption journey, and post placement support. Katie is a birth mother who placed her first daughter for adoption in 2002. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three  daughters and finding the best chocolate chip cookies in every town.
